WHAT'S NEW ARCHIVE (JAN. 2004-JUNE 2004)

June 2004

NOLA Jazz and Heritage Festival

Good fortune smiled upon us... Blueshift Founder/Owner was able to be in attendance at the last few days of the 35th Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans, catching the performance of such notable artists as Robert Cray, Wyclef, Hugh Masakela, and her constant favorite, Santana! Found lots of wonderful bands not previously known as well... one of the local favorites, Big Chief Bo Dollis and The Wild Magnolias, were tremendous! The Festival in its entirety ran in the weekends of April 23rd to May 2nd, 2004; extraordinary music to be had and highly recommended to all for next year if possible! Check back or subscribe for our announcement of festival pictures posted to the gallery.

More to come!

Exhibiting At The East Coast GEM Summit, April 2004

We will be promoting our Services, and the Talents and Businesses affiliated with us, with exhibit space secured at the 3rd Annual Global Entertainment and Media Summit in NYC. The Summit is scheduled for April 3 - 4, 2004 at the Park Central Hotel. Founded by Steven Zuckerman, the objective of the Summit is to "bring industry leaders and visionaries together to create new opportunities for emerging and existing talent from the entertainment worlds"… and will include folks from music, film, DV, multi-media… involved in various aspects like entertainment, media, and distribution, from technology companies, engaged in content creation, marketing, and more.

We are looking forward to this event and to expanding The Blueshift Group's visibility while networking at the GEM Summit workshops with an anticipated attendance of well over 2000, and at the VIP sessions we'll have access to. We also encourage local and regional artists to attend if their schedules will allow (if the Summit on the West Coast in June is perhaps closer, be sure to check the GEM Summit Web Site for the panelists, agendas and registration information on that location as well as details on the East Coast version). Additionally, very shortly we will be announcing several Special Promotional Opportunities that will be made available, via distribution at our exhibit space and at the VIP functions, to interested Talents and Businesses to take advantage of our access to Summit participants. Reach both new fans and potential decision-makers in the emerging landscape supporting the Independent Artist!
